Timberland vs Scott Storch

The Timberland/Scott Storch situation was starting to bubble last week, but now it has been brought to a full boil. Timber went off Scott Smurf a bit on MTV's "My Block" last week, and then had some more quotes over the weekend. During MTV's Overdrive Timbo dropped some more ether saying, "simply wordplay is not Hip-Hop" and "Kids wanna snap & lean. It's cool but that's not Hip-Hop." The beef has now escalated to the point that Scott Storch has released a diss track called "Built Like Dat" and it features Nox. This track can be heard over at HHNLive and NahRight. Rap beef is so first quarter of '07, producer beef is way more interesting. By the way Timberland's album 'Shock Value' is supposed to come out March 27th.

Jim Jones Dissing Joe Budden

Joe might as well add a permanent "S" to Joe's name at this point. XXL recently ran a story with their top 10 most anticipated albums of 2007. I can't disagree with putting Lil Wayne at number 1. They also provide some new information on the 'The Carter 3' apparently the first single will be a song called "La La" 1. Speaking of Raekwon, listen to his first single "My Corner" over at NahRight Word is that Young Buck's new album isn't going to be called "Buck the World" anymore but "Get Bucked". There is also a rumor floating around that Mystikal is out of prison. I guess he was released on January 11th and he didn't tell anyone. All eyes on Mystikal. Ghostface makes the list via his collab with NeYo which isn't so obvious, but Judas Priest and Le Tigre come on. I think they put DMX and Eminem on there just to piss them off, have they even listed to any DMX or Eminem records over at Love God's Way. Oh and Lil Wayne did make the list....

The camel on a camel part is the best... I have no idea what this track is called or why it took so long...this is a low quality version of the track (it is the best I could find). Ok, it is funny that Jim Jones is in that Borat swimsuit...anyway Sean Carter's weed carrier Tru Life just released a mixtape called 'Tru York' hosted by J-Love and Tru Life seems to be going to go at the Dips pretty hard on this. Listen to the "Intro" track at his myspace, it features Jigga going off on Jimmy. You can't say that Jimmy only used the feud as promotions and deny that Jigga is doing the same thing with Tru Life. Here is more info on the item that created the most stir with regards to the rap beefs post from yesterday. These quotes by Wayne were first posted on All Hip Hop. This is all taken from a call that Lil' Wayne made to Hot 97 with DJ Absolut. When asked to explain the comments made about Jay-Z, Wayne said: “I think I speak for everybody when I say it’s not dead as long as I’m still dropping albums,” He also said that the comments stem from a time last year when the Roc was going to sign Dwayne (see audio below): “I want people to just look at it like that dude who came out of college that was supposed to get drafted by the #1 team, which was Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam. They passed on me and now I with a good team and a good coach and of course on every interview I’m gonna cut down the team that didn’t pick me."
